Taking my sister to church this Sunday!!!

so yesterday i stopped by my sisters home and decided to just hang out and shoot the breeze... she was telling me that since she has stopped going to the kingdom hall (the last 9 months) she still looks for things to do on sunday.

she feels she should go and do something and she likes the idea of church.

it seems fun and will giove her a place to meet people.

i have come to the conclusion that posting here and visiting this site is not healthy for me anymore.

i just get angry and upset when i read all the stories of injustice and corruption that go on in the jehovahs witness religion.

they are true no doubt, as i have personally experienced many injustices and abuses in my life from being a witness.

Low man on the ladder... Publisher aka Rank and File. You don't get noticed, but you are expected to be at all the meetings, field service, look up to all the Elder's, use your car in service and donate, whatever you have. That is what most of the 7 million JW seat warmers are.

Next position... Aux . Pio ---> Gets you some attention. If the Elder's like you, you don't really have to get your time in.

Regular Pioneer... Yes. It does give you KHall Brownie points.

Ministerial Servant... known politely as Mic Holder. It does have advantages if you like looking down sister's fronts. The Elder's always dump whatever they don't want to do, on their shoulders. Lawn mowing anyone... Bruler ???

Elder's... What a power trip to be on the platform by yourself and the R&F look up at you in rapt attention. Heady stuff, I am sure. Circuit Assembly's and Regional Conventions equates power and that you have "made" it in WT Land. Also, you get your very own copy of the Elder's Handbook. Yippee!

Village Girl I do agree that Jehovah's Wtnesses are a man made up religion, that twist scriptures to their own beliefs.

Personally, if I was invited somewhere and they passed me a glass of wine and some crackers, I would decide at the moment, whether I wanted some or not.

hello there i am new to the faith and have been studying for about a month.

i am very excited and hungry for the truth and have not missed a meeting or study since the memorial.

we do about 2 bible studies a week.

i lost count somewhere after the 3rd time.

on a t school nite about 6 pm i stopped by the s/oversneers house... he had the instruction talk, i had the bible highlights and a service meeting part, we shot a few baskets and drank couple of glasses of.

I can sort of see, if you have condoms fall out of your pocket at the KHall, but that is no proof you were using them...
